Christina Jonung obtained an MA from UCLA and a licentiate in economics from Lund University in 1985. She worked for many years as lecturer, administrator, and researcher at the department of economics at Lund University. Her research has focused on gender and economics, in particular occupational segregation. She edited (with Inga Persson) Economics of the Family and Family policies (1997) and Women’s Work and Wages (1998). During 1987-88 she served (with Ann-Charlotte Ståhlberg) as editor of Ekonomisk Debatt, a Swedish economic policy journal. She is now retired, works free-lance, and lives in Brussels.
