Stefan Kolev

Stefan Kolev is professor of economic policy at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, and deputy director of the Wilhelm Röpke Institute in Erfurt. His research focuses on the link between the political economy of German ordoliberalism and history of economic thought. He has published on the connections between F. A. Hayek, the “Old Chicago” School, and the ordoliberals, and on the revitalization of ordoliberal thought. Spending this fall semester at the Center for the History of Political Economy at Duke University, he is currently working on Friedrich von Wieser, Max Weber, and the concepts of power in economics. Previously he has worked as researcher at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics. His email address is kolev@hwwi.org.
